About Tierney

Hi! My name is Tierney and I am a 33-year-old woman who has 20 years of experience working and caring for children of all ages. I started as a mother's helper at the age of 13. Once I turned 18, I continued working with the same family, but through a respite agency. During that time, I spent 5 years working in a private school for children with disabilities. I then became a live in nanny for a typically developing 6-year-old for a year and a half. I am a graduate of The College of Saint Rose Where I received a bachelors in history education and a Masters in Special Education. I come from a very musical family and love to sing. I try to volunteer as often as I can and have attended quite a few mission trips to third world countries and local areas to build houses for the less fortunate. I really love what I do and have found it to be extremely rewarding. I am now a middle school teacher, too!
