I currently nanny for a child that has low range autism. I work with parents and grandparents to establish day-to-day consistent care of the child. I assist in developing age appropriate scholastic and interactive activities for both inside and outside play. We create strategies that will meet the child's unique needs for emotional and physical support. He is need of a playmate that can help develop is social skills and interactions. I would prefer to provide childcare in my home as it is where he is most comfortable. I was also a Foster Care provider for more than 10 years prior to moving to Salem. I have volunteer experience as a Court Appointed Special Advocate prior to moving to Salem. I have previously worked with my Indian Tribe in Indian Child Welfare Department. I have a clean criminal record and driving record. I do not smoke or use illegal narcotics. I am also enrolled in the Office of Child Care's Central Background Registry. I have reliable transportation.
