About Tyka

Hello, my name is Tyka (Teka). I have been a caregiver to seniors and children for more than 10 years. As a child growing up, I did not have the nurturing and love from my family so I knew at a young age where my heart was. I wanted to help others. At the age of 14, I started babysitting for a family at the church I attended. At the time their children were 4 and a newborn. I loved every moment with them. I watched them grow and reach their milestones. I am still in touch with this family today. As years went by, I started to develop a love for being a companion to seniors. During my time with the families, I would make sure meals were prepared and given, I bathed and clothed them, I nurtured the babies, children, and if medication needed to be given, I would administer it. As of today, I work with infants, toddlers, and preschool children, also looking to find a part time babysitting or nanny job. I am available evenings and weekends.
