About Vanessa

I have worked with various types of special needs people from all ages. Their disabilities ranged from down syndrome, autism, developmental delays, speech impediments, Fredrick's ataxia, MS, even blindness. I drove a wide range of these kids to adults for a transportation company to and from their special needs program. Some needed assistance getting in and out of the van in which I provided assistance when necessary. I have also been a PCA for 5 years and am very familiar with care taking tasks such as the hoyer lift, G tube and trache, urinary catheter care, toileting, hand and knee mobilizers with a passive range of motion exercises, body mechanics and transferring, as well as assistance with the gait trainer. However, I do realize everyone's disability and needs are different. On my off days I am taking care of my 31/2-year-old son. Maybe we can meet soon to see if it's a fit? Vanessa
