I am looking for a new job nannying, as my current family transitions to preschool care. (Note - A letter of reference is forthcoming. I am available at the beginning of May.) Having had a happy 30-year career as an English and history teacher, I have very much enjoyed caring for the little ones of two busy working parents, starting with both when they were infants. I loved teaching and still tutor but have been glad to leave behind the hours of paperwork and planning after school. I raised two great kids, a daughter (28, U of M business graduate) and son (23, U of M engineering graduate), and cared for my elderly mother and father until their passing. I keep very active, hiking, riding horses, and working out, and like that nannying demands this level of fitness of me. I seek busy, happy days spent doing all it takes to care for little ones: play, crafts, learning activities, outings, cooking, feeding, laundry. My goal is for working parents to come home to relaxed, happy kids.
