About Walter

Hi! I have an unusual academic background, and tutored successfully in a range of subjects including English, basic math, health studies, public speaking and art. My education is diverse. I was part of the New York City Fellows Teaching Program, gaining certification to teach high school science. I attended the Jamaica School of Arts and Crafts and School of Visual Arts NYC. I went on to earn a bachelor's degree in zoology, completed three years of medical schooling (SUNY Upstate Med School), and completed a graduate degree - MPA. I further taught Communications Skills at the American Institute of Medical Science (AIMS). Over the years, I have taught many students one-to-one both privately and in special sessions after formal classroom teaching. Beyond that, I have formed homework clubs and acted as tutor/ caregiver for a family. I believe the range of acquired skills enables me to convey information more easily and to fit smoothly into family settings.
