As a private Mandarin teacher from Beijing, China, I have experience teaching students of various age groups, ranging from toddlers to adults. For young learners, I focus on teaching the basics of Mandarin, starting with pinyin, which is the phonetic spelling system used to learn the pronunciation of Chinese characters. I also introduce character recognition and writing at an appropriate level for their age. As they progress, I guide them in reading and understanding Chinese characters, as well as writing short sentences, messages, and essays. For older students and adults, I tailor my lessons to their specific needs and goals. This may include helping them with their curriculum, improving their reading comprehension and writing skills, as well as conversational fluency. Overall, my teaching methodology encompasses a comprehensive approach to Mandarin learning.
