Hello! I am a current graduate student at EWU in Spokane, WA, studying to become a speech therapist. I am seeking occasional pet sitting opportunities. I can provide dog sitting in your home with additional services such as dog walking and bathing if needed. I grew up with Cocker Spaniels and my mom bred them for 10 years. I currently dog sit for friends and family members, and I can provide references as needed.

I am a pet lover through and through from the smallest furriest of creatures to our large scaled reptilian best friends! I am comfortable and have experience caring for almost any kind of house pet as well as most farm animals ( poultry, horses, pigs, goats). I can include yard clean up, light grooming, medication administration, feeding, walking and more.

Ages newborn-6 months: I have some experience with this age. From my past experiences with this age, I know how to hold, feed, burp, calm, change diapers, etc. With this age, I enjoy taking them on walks in the stroller around the neighborhood. Ages 7 months-3 years: One of the families I babysat, I watched the two children starting at ages 7 months and 3 years until they were almost 4 and 7. With this family, I got to see the children grow. I helped with the their early development including bottle feeding, nap times, walking, potty training, teaching the ABC's, transitioning into a two-wheel bike, playing pretend, and preparing them for elementary and preschool. Ages 4-6 years: I have taught dance and babysat for kids in this age group. Ages 7-11 years: During my first year of college, I watched two girls ages 7 and 10. I was in charge of carpooling, tutoring, feeding, and after school care. I watched them three times a week. On Tuesday, we would work on homework, so we could have fun the rest of the week. Since homework was assigned on Mondays and due on Fridays, the girls were always excited to be the first ones to turn in their work. On Wednesday is when the girls had sports, which I would take and pick them up from. On Thursdays, was the "free day." On "free day," we would go to the park, get hot cocoa or ice-cream, craft day, etc. The schedule was flexible if the girls didn't finish all of their homework on Tuesday, we would finish it on Thursday. With these girls, I made a star chart, if the girls got enough stars in the month they would get a special treat of their choice. Ages 12 or older: For two summers, I watched a family with twin girls age 12 and their older brother age 14. The two things I did the most with this family was swimming and taking their dogs to the dog park. Pets: All except birds and reptiles.

I have cared for many neighbor's pets in my community as well as friends and family. In conjunction with pet care, I have also been entrusted with house sitting in the form of checking on a persons home while their away to make sure everything is kept safe and up to standard.

Hi there, I'm Emily! I'm a mom to a 1-year-old boy and looking to share our days with one or two other special kiddos. I am always learning and growing as a human being and a parent, but have come to develop a few core philosophies that shape my behavior as a caregiver and mother. First, I believe that children innately want to be helpful and feel valued that way, so I provide my child with plenty of experience with "real world" tasks, such as helping me unload the dishwasher, vacuum, and clean. I believe in plenty of fresh air and time spent outdoors. I believe in whole foods, especially fruits and vegetables, little to no added sugar, and lots of exposure to new tastes and textures at a young age. I've done a lot of volunteer work with children, such as helping second and fifth graders with their reading skills. I love reading with kids! I also have some experience with disabled children, having helped in a highschool special needs classroom.

I have been caring for people since my early teens, and have been a registered and trained babysitter, and first aid/ CPR provider ever since. Additionally, I am trained in working with people mental health issues, and Alzheimer's/Dementia, along with the Fundamentals of Care giving training. I am in school to become and OT, and am very passionate about health care especially in providing care to seniors.
