Winter Semester (January-Mid March) This class is recommended for ages 12+ who have a basic knowledge of drawing, anime, and some experience with digital art. Digital Art Supplies REQUIRED. iPad with Apple Pencil preferred. Class is taught using the program Procreate for Apple iPad, which is strongly recommended. Other programs may suffice, but we cannot promise a 1:1 comparison of lessons for any other programs used. Experience in procreate preferred but not required. We will study what makes a cartoon "anime," different methods, techniques, and all the formal elements you need to create your own anime art and characters. Bathroom Independence: Children must be fully independent in using the bathroom to attend classes without adult supervision. If a child requires assistance in the bathroom, a parent or guardian must be present during the class.

In this class, students will get their hands on many different materials to create artwork as they learn and develop their art skills. The elements of art and design will be taught in this fun, laid-back, and very safe environment, taught by a certified art teacher! All supplies are included! Children may bring a water bottle but NO FOOD will be eaten in the studio. ONLY CHILDREN are permitted inside the studio. (Parents must drop off in front of the studio.)
