About Alexandra

I'd describe my personality as patient, empathetic and driven. I like tutoring because of the 1:1 support I am able to provide students and families. As a special educator, I see the value in providing extra attention to skills students are struggling with. Tutoring allows for the education of the whole child, and can be an equitable way to serve students across the city. I'm looking for a job where I can help foster student growth and student confidence in learning. My specific tutoring experience is for students with disabilities aged 12-18. I specialize in math, executive functioning, ELA regents prep and English. I started tutoring four years ago. In my spare time, I like to coach handball, spend time outdoors, connect with friends and make artwork. I'm a very relaxed and flexible person with a drive to enhance your students learning experience. My skills include hands on learning activities, weekly progress reporting, and multiple entry points for learners.
