About Ashley

I'd describe my personality as creative, positive, and kind. I like tutoring because I love helping students overcome challenges that may be holding them back from a lifelong love of learning. I'm looking for a job in which I can support elementary age students in areas such as reading fluency, reading comprehension, writing skills, or math for lower elementary students. I have been working as a credentialed teacher for 8 years. I have taught 1st grade, reading intervention, and English language development for English language learners. In my spare time, I like to spend time outdoors! One thing you should know about me is I am good at finding creative ways to figure out what is hindering a student in their learning, and coming up with a plan to make learning fun while addressing those challenges. In my many years as a teacher I have worked with all types of learners and have been able to promote growth in all of them!
