About Alyssa

Since I was a young girl, I have always had a book in my hand and a passion for learning. School was my favorite place in the world, and it still is! My love of learning led me to pursue a career in teaching, and I went on to get a Bachelor's Degree in English from SUNY New Paltz and a Master's Degree in English Education from Stony Brook University, as well as a New York State Teaching Certification in English Language Arts. During my educational journey, I gained valuable experience as a student teacher for high school students, a permanent substitute teacher for all grades and subjects, a teacher assistant for pre-school students with special needs, and a graduate teaching assistant for students in my English Education program at Stony Brook University. My extensive experience with learners of all ages and backgrounds has given me so much joy and I can't wait to continue my career in education.
