To tell you a bit about my experience I have been a professional healthcare worker for over 17 years. My experience in healthcare motivated me to pursue my Associates in Nurse Education. In my care history, I have worked with a wide range of individuals with different needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, stroke, muscular dystrophy, aphasia, immobility, fall and surgery recovery. I provide assistance with medicine, transfers, incontinence, bathing, dressing, bed sores, companionship, meal prep, and more. I enjoy assisting clients in activities such as physical therapy, memory training exercises, mental awareness exercises, community activities and happy to drive to medical appointments as needed. I believe it is important to encourage my clients to do things that make them feel connected to what's going on around them, such as with hobbies they used to love, even if in a different form now.
