About Emily

In my previous educator role, I served as a full-time intern in an inclusive elementary school where I worked with third-grade students with mild to moderate disabilities. I was responsible for creating and implementing lessons that covered necessary content and kept students engaged and motivated to learn. I collaborated with educators to ensure that the student was remaining on track with their peers. I continuously gathered data on the student's progress to ensure adequate progress was being made and used the data to inform instructional decisions. In after school tutoring roles, I have worked with a variety of students (mild-severe disabilities, typically developing students) in grades K-5th. In these tutoring sessions, the child and I would complete in-depth reviews concepts learned in class with opportunities for questions and practice. My educational experiences have equipped me to customize learning approaches based on a child's unique strengths, interests, needs, and goals.
