About Jackie

I like tutoring because I love learning and it is really amazing to try to foster that in others. It's also great when people are proud of their own work that they've accomplished after being tutored. I have extensive experience with science (primarily biology and psychology, but I am also comfortable with physics and chemistry), math (up to pre-calculus), and English/writing courses. I started tutoring back in high school where I was a peer tutor to other students at my school. I continued as a paid tutor in college and served as a teaching assistant for college courses as a graduate student. Explaining topics or ideas in different ways depending on the learning style of the person that I'm tutoring; 3) Providing a deeper level of understanding that can transfer to solving different problems within the subject.
