About Janet

The art of helping children learn and totally understand their subject matter is something I love doing. That is why I got a degree in elementary education and a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language and also chose to home school my three sons. One of my boys is in college as an engineering student and two are now in High School. I have also been a camp counselor and an art teacher and have worked in a Math and Reading tutoring Center and have had experience with Special Needs Children. I have been doing work as a nanny and would like to expand my services to help young children learn basic skills. I am currently tutoring a fourth grade girl in Math and Science and it is going very well. I am patient and have a lot of resources. Art is another strong area of mine and I would be glad to assist by providing a wide range of art activities with them, anywhere from simple craft projects to serious drawing and painting lessons.
