About Laurie

I'd describe my personality as enthusiastic, caring and nurturing. I like tutoring because I find it most rewarding as the students gain confidence in areas they once found challenging. I'm looking for a job that utilizes my skills to help the student reach their potential. I started tutoring when my own children were in middle school. Probably 15 years ago and then I took off time when my grandchildren were born. In my spare time, I like to travel with family. I also volunteer in helping refugees establish themselves here in the United States. One thing you should know about me is I am extremely patient and thoughtful. I always put others first. My skills include using different modalities in order to grasp new material. I listen carefully to their concerns. I make learning fun.
