About Miranda

Hi there! I am a K-2 special education teacher for Chicago Public Schools. I have lots of experience making accommodations for diverse learners so that they can learn grade level material in a way that meets their needs. I love to make school fun because as a teacher, I find myself more engaged in the lessons that I'm teaching if the students are excited about it as well. As a child I was a struggling learner at times, and I empathize with how frustrating it can be from a child's perspective if the lessons are not clicking. I love to see kiddos get that "Ah-Ha!" moment where they finally understand something that they have been struggling with for a long time.
