About Sally

Hi there! My name is Sally. I love children! It gives me great joy to see them learn and grow! I have been an educator for 20 years. I have a master's degree in reading. I taught elementary school for 10 years, and I am currently an early literacy specialist for Children's Literacy Initiative. I have spent the last 10 years helping teachers in Chicago Public Schools use more effective teaching practices in their classrooms. In addition, I have been providing reading intervention to students who need additional support in their literacy journey. While I love teaching literacy, I equally enjoy helping children become more confident mathematicians! I currently work four days a week. I am interested in spending my day off and afternoons with some tutoring sessions. I have Thursdays open during the day and Mondays and Fridays from 2-3 open. I am open to online tutoring, in an agreed-upon public location like a library, tutoring at my home or yours.
