Hi, I'm Sarena! I'm 23 and majored in sociology, with a thesis on supportive parent networks. Since then I've worked as a nanny/1:1 aid for an 8 y/o + an autistic 6 y/o with Down Syndrome. I help with driving + tutoring for the older kiddo, and go to preschool + help with afterschool care for the younger, neuro divergent kiddo. At preschool I assist ~20 kids with communication, development+ education+ daily living skills, meal time, creative/tactile play, conflict resolution, outside/nature exploration, and much more. I've worked with children 2-20 y/o, and am currently working with ages 2+. I love working with kids and see it as an opportunity for growth and connection all around. I believe kids know themselves best and need a strong, curious, gentle, and grounded adult to help them navigate learning about themselves and the world around them. Sarena is very sincere and has a great personality. She has helped me a lot and I also want to thank her for her flexibility. She is awesome with my kids. My younger one has Down syndrome and autism but Sarena had no problem babysitting him. She also helped my older one with homework and that was also very helpful. Both of my kids love Sarena so much and I would love to ask her for help going forward as long as possible.
