About Valerie

I have 19 years experience as an early childhood educator working with infants through school age children. I am very passionate about helping children reach their full potential through self expression, building their confidence, and helping them grow into the wonderful people they can be. I have two daughters of my own and it was my youngest daughter that actually led me into becoming a teacher after I left the medical field in 2005. After being a VPK assistant teacher, I finished my certification to get my CDA. I have worked at five early learning centers over the last 19 years and have gained so much experience from the different children, teachers, parents, and curriculums. I regularly attend continuing education conferences and am always open to new ideas. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked as a medical assistant for 25 years, with a focus in pediatrics in my last decade of being in that profession.
