About Zanya

My WHY: I appreciate being able to work one-on-one with kids because I can provide a level of attention and support that is so difficult to offer for every child when teaching a standard classroom of 25+ students. I am dedicated to students/tutees feeling confident in their ability to learn, and embracing failure as a necessary component of acquiring new information. I hope to bring more fun, joy and stamina to your child's learning experience! My EXPERIENCE: I have been working in classrooms for 7 years. I also received my degree in elementary education from Boston College and graduated with a 3. 98 GPA. The focus of my program was teaching in urban settings and the intersections of social justice and education. At my last school, I had the 2nd highest performing class across all grades on (NWEA) MAP testing for 2021-2022 school year.
