It’s Back! Our Sushi rolling class is now available for the month of May. This course is for the Lil’ Chefs who love sushi and want to learn how to make the perfect sushi roll. urbanCHEF's Spring Break Camp is all about the Holidays! Come join us as we celebrate popular holidays but all in one week. For Halloween, we'll be making a Halloween-themed brunch. There will be Pumpkin Intestine Cinnamon Rolls, Turkey Sausage & Puff Pastry Mummies, Ghoulish Green Eggs, and a Witches' Brew Punch.

This monthly class specializes in teaching basic pastry & baking techniques, including creaming, folding, whisking/beating, cutting in, kneading, and sifting. We also teach how to measure properly and the difference between measuring dry and wet ingredients. We create everything from scratch, and tastings are always included. Family Fun PIZZA Night Workshop Join us for Family Fun PIZZA Night Workshop for the whole family! Work together as a family to complete 2-3 recipes and enjoy the food you've made at the end of class. Menu: Pizzas from scratch, French Fries, and Strawberry Shortcake. This class is for the entire family - for Tiny Chefs ages 3-5 / adult family member(s) will be required to be more hands-on. Young chefs will learn to prepare fun, tasty, and healthy snacks and meals using simple tools and fresh ingredients. From fruit kabobs to no-bake granola bars, smoothies, and creative wraps, campers will gain confidence in the kitchen while exploring flavors and teamwork. The week will end with a vegetable pizza from our garden—a delicious celebration of what they’ve learned! Special Event: Footsteps Farmers Market & Tasting Day Campers prepare their favorite no-bake snacks and set up tasting tables for staff and families. They’ll create recipe cards to send home and compete in a fun “Top Chef” challenge with ribbons for presentation, creativity, and teamwork.

Activities include animal care for our chickens, weeding, watering, mulching, harvesting, compost care, crafts and free play. Children should bring snacks and lunch and come prepared to get dirty!

Youth ages 12-14 are invited to come and learn about urban farming, sustainable building, land stewardship, water conservation, and farm to table dining at our beautiful location at Hawk Creek Farm. By supporting the completion of special projects and daily farm care, youth gain direct experience acting as land stewards. Daily activities include farm care, composting, animal care, teacher guided exploration on a topic of their choosing, and the creation of special projects that help the farm! There will also be plenty of time for relaxing and socializing. The program runs from 12-5pm daily Monday to Friday. Early drop off is available upon request.
